Tattershall Castle is an impressive moated building owned by the National Trust.
Built by Robert de Tateshale in the 15th century having received permission from Henry VIII. The castle has changed ownership many times, reaching its prime during the Tudor period.
In the Civil War the castle was besieged, leaving only the great tower but in 1911 the castle was restored allowing access to the public today. Tattershall houses some beautiful hidden gems including huge Gothic fireplaces and church-like windows and outside the castle is surrounded by a beautiful wildflower meadow.
